Booting network disk-less appliances often
requires tftp server from where the appliance downloads its firmware
and/or configuration.

Warning! If tftp is not
configured correctly could become security risk. Make sure there is no un-trusted
access to this protocol.

Possible solution is to use NFS to mount tftp storage
area as folder on the server that supports tftp.
